Lifestyle Within The Estate

The Rest has undergone a major upgrade across all areas including security, infrastructure and amenities, in part due to a substantial capital investment from Sanlam Limited who took over ownership of the estate in 2013.

There is an extensive network of walking, mountain biking and jogging tracks throughout the estate, which are regularly maintained and being extended.

Residents have exclusive access to the new floodlit tennis courts and pavilion at Curro School after school hours.

A resident’s clubhouse is proposed in the future to incorporate recreation, sporting and entertainment facilities. The sports field has already been constructed and is open for ball games.

Public and private health care is available from the Mediclinic, which is situated 3km from The Rest.  There are also several other private hospitals in the areas.  Most illnesses and emergencies can be dealt with in Nelspruit.

Nelspruit offers everything needed for modern living, including the Kruger National Park and Mozambique right on its doorstep.

The school offers excellent education for both English and Afrikaans learners. Language mediums remain separated until the end of Grade 9. Grade 12 learners have the option of writing their IEB (Independent Examinations Board) exams in Afrikaans or English.

Sport and cultural activities are viewed as key to developing all round balanced individuals and Curro Nelspruit provides an extensive extra-curricular programme. Educational specialists and therapists are also available on campus.

Curro Nelspruit offers aftercare facilities and all pupils have access to the walking and mountain bike trails, along with the natural habitat at The Rest.
